Often in an MS Excel spreadsheet you save information you need transfering to a database, but doing it manually is just crazy. Luckily there is this program called Excel to MySQL (also known as Xls2Sql) which lets you do it all automatically.
In Excel to MySQL you just indicate the location of the XLS file the contents of which you want to move to a MySQL database. The exportation from one to the other is done at high speed and without any user intervention needed. It lets you work with all versions of MS Excel.
In the Excel to MySQL configuration options the user can specify which set sheets in each file they want to transfer. You can also convert them directly to CSV. This program can also be run from the Windows command line.
